In an age of increased information sharing and sophisticated internet tools, it is now easier than ever for students to commit acts of academic misconduct, often without even realizing they are doing so. Consequently, two of the key challenges for education in the 21st century are how to help students understand the importance of academic integrity in their own success and how to help instructors effectively identify and respond to academic misconduct in a way that enables positive outcomes for the student and institution. Indiana University has tackled this problem with an online learning series called Learning With Integrity, which features a positive tone and multiple ways of engaging students and faculty with online tools and interactive lessons. This session will focus on Learning With Integrity by demonstrating how the course engages participants as well as the collaborative process used to design the course. Participants will be provided with take-away strategies and ideas for project collaboration, faculty development, and research potential connected to academic integrity.
